The campsite
Camping Mas de Messier is located in a very quiet and beautiful location on the southern border of the rugged Causse du Larzac and the Mediterranean. There are 28 large camping pitches on a domain of 9 hectares. The playful layout ensures a lot of privacy for everyone. A large number of places have beautiful views. The campsite is located at an altitude of 680 meters, making the temperatures very pleasant in the summer. The accessibility is extremely good. Coming from the north, it is only about 10 minutes from exit 49 on the A75 at Le Caylar, and from the south, less than 5 minutes from exit 50 on the A75 at Saint Felix de L’Héras. The sanitary building is simple in design and is very well maintained.

Facilities
The campsite has spacious pitches “in the middle of nature”. The natural vegetation provides a lot of privacy. The campsite has a swimming pool, cozy terrace, Wi-Fi, library, trampoline and table tennis table. There are also the chickens that sometimes roam around the campsite.
You can also go to the camping shop for fresh bread, ice cream and wine every day. In the low season, depending on interest, it is regularly possible to eat with the table d’hôtes. During the high season we prepare culinary quiche menus, French menu du Jour and delicious pizzas on a take-away basis. Eating out at your own place. How nice is that! All this with sufficient choices and fait maison with fresh ingredients. The terrace is open about 5 times a week between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM for pleasant drinks. We rent out 2 beautiful, fully equipped lodge tents in beautiful places and a gîte.

Surroundings
In the surprisingly beautiful and varied environment you will find a great diversity in nature, fauna and culture. There are many picturesque villages with lively markets such as the beautiful Pezenas, Saint Guilhem le Désert in the gorges de L’Hérault, La Couvertoirade, Clermont d’Hérault, Nant and Cantobre. If you like to visit a cool city, you can go to Millau with its imposing bridge and Roquefort caves, Montpellier, Aigues Mortes, Agde and Sète with museums, nice markets, shops and caves.

The beautiful Lac du Salagou is half an hour away, the Mediterranean Sea with beautiful beaches is an hour away. You can experience culture in the various Templar fortresses, Le cirque de Navacelle, Le Chaos de Montpellier le Vieux and in various caves. There are excellent opportunities for (sports/electric) cycling, MTB riding, walking and canoeing. Would you rather take a car trip? There are also good options for this. There are routes available at the campsite for all activities.

Experience the Mas and enjoy the pure outdoors.
You are very welcome.
