The camping
Camping du Bas Meygnaud : a ‘Petit paradis’ for holidaymakers looking for peace, space, unspoiled nature, service and hospitality. The campsite is situated in the Dronnet valley between Brantôme and Bourdeilles. The campsite has 50 very spacious pitches with sun and/or shade, rental of chalets , mobile homes and fully equipped safari tents. After a walk, bike ride or sightseeing trip in the beautiful surroundings, you can take a refreshing dip in the spacious swimming pool (6×12 m.) and paddling pool (4x4m). Near the swimming pool, there is a small restaurant, bar with terrace, playing field, table tennis, boules, volleyball.
Area
The campsite is situated in a rural, wooded area with beautiful views. The pitches are not really demarcated.This gives a casual atmosphere.
Facilities
The sanitary building has been partially renewed this year, clean and delicious showers.Other amenities: Washing machine, wifi, small library and plenty of tourist info, small « épicerie » Children can feed chickens and visit beehives.
There are numerous cycling and hiking tours, horse riding, canoeing, climbing, microlight, directly from the campsite. Bicycle rental at the campsite
In high season there is a daily bread roll service. Guests can also buy honey, free-range eggs and local produce.
We organize a live music night with local bands a bbq or tapas, and a number of children’s workshops 1x a week.
Navigation
– From Paris 1: Take the A20 to Limoges then the N21 to Thiviers.
In Thiviers follow the signs to Brantôme (D707, D78).
In Brantôme follow the signs to Périgueux (D939).
4 kms after Brantôme turn right at Laserre.
– From Paris 2: Take the A10 Bordeaux, until Poitiers, then the N10 to Angoulème.
After Angoulème follow the D939 towards Périgueux. The road will take you on the Brantôme by-pass.
4 kms after Brantôme turn right at Laserre.
– From Bordeaux: Take the A89 Brive-La Gaillarde to exit 14
Then follow the signs to Périgueuxand then Brantôme(D939).
4 kms befor Brantôme turn left at Laserre.
– From Clermont Ferrand: Take the A89 to Périgueux
to exit 15 then follow the signs to Périgueux, Brantôme and then Brantôme(D939).
4 kms befor Brantôme turn left at Laserre.
