The campsite
Laouba nature campsite is located between forest and meadow on the edge of the village of Vendays. With 30 spacious pitches from 150 to 200 m and varied planting, it is a wonderful oasis to return to after a wonderful day out. We offer peace, space, nature, activities and conviviality at a reasonable price.
Facilities
The bar offers various drinks and crêpes with fresh and, as much as possible, organic products. There is so much to do, see and discover in the area that we limit the offering at the campsite to a swimming pool, sports field and small playground.
Surroundings
In Vendays you will find a supermarket and some restaurants. In the lively seaside resort of Montalivet, 8 km away, there is a daily market and an extensive range of shops and catering establishments. Various cycle paths run through the forest and dune area to the small coastal towns, so that you can do everything by bike if desired. Bicycles can be rented at the campsite.
All activities offered by the municipality of Vendays-Montalivet on and around the beach are free and for everyone. It is also possible to rent surfboards, SUP boards, etchings, etc. or take lessons. The largest freshwater lake in France, Lac d’Hourtin, is located 15 km to the south. This lake has several small beaches and marinas and, like the ocean at Montalivet, is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Sailboats, pedal boats, windsurfing boards, etc. are rented and kitesurfing courses are given. If you go 10 km east you will enter the wine region of the Medoc. This well-known region with its famous wineries is definitely worth a visit. You can also follow the wine route along the Gironde estuary and the Garonne River upstream to Bordeaux, which is also recommended for lovers of old cities with a rich history.
